Kids Day edition hits streets with celebrity sales
Advertiser Staff
Leave a little extra time in your morning commute tomorrow to pick up a special edition of The Advertiser from special paper-hawkers.
The theme is "Who Am I?" and the edition benefits Parents And Children Together. The special insert has essays, poems and drawings by students in grades 1 through 12 who entered a contest.
Proceeds benefit PACT's programs for early childhood education, childcare, child-abuse and domestic-violence prevention and treatment, teen development, children's mental health, community building and economic development.
Gov. Linda Lingle and Lt. Gov. Duke Aiona will be selling Kids Day editions at the State Capitol.
You'll also see selling around town: PACT is a private, nonprofit family service agency with more than three decades of community service, dedicated to promoting and supporting healthy individuals, families and communities. For more information, see pacthawaii.org or call 847-3285.
The Advertiser has once again teamed with parents, children and celebrities for Kids Day, with a special edition of the newspaper written and distributed by kids and volunteers.
