Advertiser wins 'Best in Business' award
Advertiser Staff
The Honolulu Advertiser has won a "Best in Business" award from the Society of American Business Editors and Writers for its coverage last year of the Aloha Airlines bankruptcy.
An award for breaking news by medium-sized newspapers (circulation of 125,001 to 250,000) was presented Sunday to Business Editor David Butts at the group's annual convention in Seattle.
The Advertiser was one of 16 news organizations honored in the breaking news category, which recognizes superior work produced under tight deadlines.
Bloomberg News and Crain's Chicago Business led all news organizations, winning three "Best in Business" awards.
