Arrest made in park dispute

Police arrested a 43-year-old homeless man early this morning at Lualualei Beach Park in Wai'anae on suspicion of assault and criminal property damage following a fight with a 44-year-old man.

The two men were arguing over a girl when the younger man allegedly punctured a tire on the other man's car and injured him slightly by swinging a hammer at him, police said.

Officers arrived about 1:45 a.m. and made an arrest without a struggle.



Domestic fight ends in broken nose

Police arrested a 30-year-old Kane'ohe man yesterday who allegedly assaulted his wife during an argument about 8:10 p.m. Tuesday.

The wife was treated at a hospital for a broken nose, police said.

The husband turned himself in to police yesterday and was arrested on suspicion of second-degree assault.



Road rage prompts arrest

A 40-year-old Mo'ili'ili man was arrested yesterday for his alleged involvement in a March 29 road-rage incident.

Another man told police he got into a minor traffic collision with the suspect who then followed him to a stoplight, got out of his car, punched him several times as he sat in his car and ended the incident by kicking in his car door.

Police said the suspect surrendered to police yesterday and was arrested on suspicion of unlawful entry into a motor vehicle, a felony, and misdemeanor criminal property damage.



Son defends mom in assault

A 39-year-old Kane'ohe man was arrested yesterday after he allegedly forced his way into his ex-girlfriend's apartment and grabbing and shoving her 17-year-old son.

The son told police the man entered the apartment without permission about 10 a.m. and began to argue with his mother.

He said he was trying to break up the argument when the man grabbed his shoulder and groin and shoved him to the ground before leaving the area.

Shortly after police arrived at the apartment, the suspected called and was told to go to the Kailua police station where he was arrested on suspicion of first-degree burglary and abuse of a family or household member.



Knife threat ends with girl's arrest

A 14-year-old 'Aiea girl was arrested yesterday morning after she allegedly threatened to kill her mother.

Police said the mother, 33, was arguing with her daughter about 7:50 a.m. when the girl punched her in the face, causing the mother to cut her lip.

The mother told police her daughter then went to the kitchen , returned with a large knife and threatened to kill her while waving the knife around and making jabbing motions.

Police arrived and arrested the daughter on suspicion of first-degree terroristic threatening and abuse of a family or household member.
