Owens to appear at speed clinic

Former University of Hawai'i football player Chad Owens will be a guest instructor at this weekend's Hawai'i Speed and Quickness clinics at the UH athletic complex.

Sessions are from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. for ages 7 to 12, and 10:30 a.m to noon for those 13 and older. Owens said he will appear at Sunday's early session.

The $10 entry fee includes a Jamba Juice coupon and instruction in plyometrics and running techniques. Each session features a different lesson.
