7 p.m., championship "We live and die off our transition," Roosevelt coach Bobby Keanini said. "We're not a great half-court team and when we get out and run, we're a pretty good team. The girls understand how to run up and down the floor."
Pearl City (5-8) tried to slow Roosevelt (5-8) by playing a 2-3 zone, but the Chargers couldn't hold on to the basketball.
"We're a very young team, no experience," said Pearl City coach Mike Morton, whose team has one senior and five sophomores. "We gave up too many layups. We didn't come to play tonight."
Shannon Miyashiro scored 19 points and Tati Beasley added 14 for the Rough Riders (East No. 5), who scored 20 consecutive points in the second half to go up 56-18. Both players had six points during the run.
"They carry us as far as what they do on the floor," Keanini said. "They need to get their touches."
Roosevelt will play Kalaheo (East No. 1) in the quarterfinals at 5 p.m. today at Radford.
Kalaheo beat Roosevelt by 28 points in both meetings this season.
"Our first two experiences weren't very great (against Kalaheo)," Keanini said. "They don't go out of what they know. They play with their strengths and take care of what the other team is weak at."
The Rough Riders' largest lead last night was 68-27 on a basket by Kaitlynn Simmonds with 2:25 remaining in the game.
Roosevelt made 23 of 51 field-goal attempts, including 12 of 18 in the second half.
Pearl City (West No. 4) was 12 of 38 from the field and committed 17 turnovers in each half.
All four Eastern Division teams beat their Western Division opponents last night by an average of 23 points.

Kaiser (9-4) will play at Radford (West No. 2) in the quarterfinals today at 5 p.m
"For some reason we always start slow," Nanakuli coach Eric Nakabayashi said. "The first half is always our nemesis."
Kaiser forced 17 of Nanakuli's 26 turnovers in the first half.
"We came out and wanted to pressure them, and we were successful in using our defense to create more on offense," Kaiser coach Lisa Mann said.
The Cougars took their largest lead at 33-7 on a 3-pointer by Lehner midway through the third quarter.
Mann pulled her starters in the third, but had to put them back in after Nanakuli (3-10) closed to 36-20 on a 3-pointer by Lahela Kanagasuku one minute into the fourth.
The Golden Hawks got as close as 40-30 midway through the fourth, but Kilioe Ali'ifua hit two field goals to end any chance of a comeback.
"I wanted to get some of the younger girls a little bit of playing time," Mann said. "But they started pressuring us so we had to get the starters back in there."
