Tonight's Must-See

"Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets" (2002), 6 p.m., ABC. As Harry's second year at Hogwarts begins, the entire school is endangered. Harry must save the day, even confronting a fierce dragon. This film is beautifully directed by Chris Columbus. At two hours and 41 minutes, this film needed a thorough trimming for TV. However, for this airing, an extra 13 minutes have been added. There also will be a preview of the series' upcoming fourth film, "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire." These are fun films.

Of Note

"Lies My Mother Told Me," 6 p.m., Lifetime. On the eve of Mother's Day, Lifetime offers this portrait of a real-life perverse mom. Joely Richardson is brilliant as a manipulative beauty, taking her daughter on a dizzying life of scams.

"Crossing Jordan," 7 p.m., NBC. In a rerun, Jordan falls for a handsome artist (Jeremy London) who is an agoraphobic, afraid to be outside. He's also a murder suspect.

"CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," 7 p.m., CBS. Grissom is perplexed in this rerun, after a man is identified by a rape victim yet exonerated by DNA evidence.

"Mrs. Doubtfire" (1993), ABC Family, 8 p.m., and "One Hour Photo" (2002), FX, 5 p.m. The two sides of Robin Williams are on view here. "Doubtfire" is a broad comedy in which he impersonates a nanny to be close to his kids. "One Hour Photo" is a dark drama in which he becomes obsessed with the family whose photos he handles.

"CSI: NY," 8 p.m., CBS. A commissioner has finished his controversial report about corruption. Before it's published, however, he's killed.

"Law & Order: Special Victims Unit," 8 p.m., NBC. This rerun has Stabler convinced he has the man (Matthew Modine) who killed a teen girl. He has 24 hours to prove it.

"Law & Order," 9 p.m., NBC. A loner has been killed. Suspects, in this rerun, range from his landlord to the basketball star he taunted.

"Saturday Night Live," 10:30 p.m., NBC. In a new outing, Johnny Knoxville hosts, with music by System of a Down.
