Lee Cataluna improving in her recovery

Honolulu Advertiser columnist Lee Cataluna is improving as she recuperates from complications she suffered in childbirth, a spokeswoman for The Queen's Medical Center said yesterday.
Cataluna's family wished to thank friends and loved ones for their support during this difficult time, the hospital said. The family also has requested privacy and that people not visit or call at this time.
Cataluna, 38, remains in the Queen's intensive-care unit after suffering a seizure Monday night after going into labor. Doctors performed an emergency Caesarean section and delivered a baby girl, who is in the intensive-care unit at the Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women and Children.
