Parrow's one-hitter lifts Kamehameha

Senior David Parrow pitched a one-hitter and Kamehameha pounded out 13 hits in a 10-1 victory over Mid-Pacific in an Interscholastic League of Honolulu baseball game at Aloha Stadium last night.

Kamehameha is 16-3, Mid-Pacific 13-6.

Parrow struck out seven and walked four. Adam Tamashiro got the Owls' only hit, a triple in the sixth inning.

Kamehameha's Nick Freitas was 3 for 4, including a triple, home run, three RBIs and three runs scored.

Iolani 5, Maryknoll 0

Wally Marciel took a no-hitter into the seventh inning and finished with a one-hitter with 13 strikeouts to lead Iolani past Maryknoll last night at Ala Wai Field. The Spartans' Brennan Young singled up the middle in the bottom of the seventh inning to break up the no-hitter. Marciel walked one and added a two-run home run in the first inning.

Kelii Zablan hit a two-run homer to tie the game and Shaun Kauleinamoku hit a double to score the winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning as the Crusaders rallied past the Monarchs at Ala Wai Field. After Zablan's homer, Justin Doane singled and advanced on a wild pitch. Grant Costa, who pinch ran for Doane then scored on the double by Kauleinamoku.

OIA CONSOLATION

Leilehua advances: Andrew Ontai pitched a two-hit shutout and hit a home run in the third inning to lift Leilehua past Kalani, 6-0, yesterday at Kahala Field and into today's fifth-place game in the O'ahu Interscholastic Association tournament. Ontai also had six strikeouts.

Leilehua will play the winner of the game between Wai'anae and Mililani, which was suspended because of darkness yesterday with the game tied at 5 after eight innings. The game will be continued today in the top of the ninth at 2 p.m. at Mililani.

The winner meets Leilehua at 4 p.m. at Central O'ahu Regional Park. The winner earns a state tournament berth.
