Police seek help in school blaze

LIHU'E, Kaua'i Investigators continue to search for clues and tips from the public in the May 7 fire that destroyed the office and six classrooms at Kalaheo Elementary School.
The Kaua'i Fire Department concluded the fire was of suspicious origin and turned an arson investigation over to police.
The early morning blaze caused no injuries, but the school lost its oldest building, which may have been more than 80 years old. Two nearby portable structures were also damaged.
Detective Michael Gordon said the investigation has yielded few clues, and police are asking anyone who may have information about the fire to call Crime Stoppers at (808) 241-1887.
HILO, Hawai'i Big Island police yesterday identified a body found May 6 at a Puna home as Samuel Ray Zamrzla, 51.
Zamrzla was discovered at his Fern Acres residence, and police used dental records to identify him. Detectives said they are awaiting autopsy results, but that they have not found evidence of foul play.
