"Ode to the Han River"

Last Week's Poll

There is nothing sad about the poll results for "Sad Love Story." Last week we asked readers what their favorite K-drama is and "Sad Love Story" garnered 154 votes to edge "Emperor of the Sea" for top spot.

"Emperor" took in 134 votes, while "Ode to Han River" took in 35 and "Spring Day" pulled in 19 votes.

K-Drama fans voted 342 times this past week.

Sundays, 7 and 8 p.m.; episodes 41 and 42

7 p.m. — Choong-gul takes Young-hee from the market to take her out to lunch, but she hides when her neighbor sees them together. He buys her a cell phone and asks to see more of her. Rejected by Kang-su, Na-young goes out to watch a sunrise at the beach with Jae-hyuk.

8 p.m. — Kang-su catches Ryul drinking alone with Ga-young's picture in his hand. Ga-young feels a little strange when she hears her mom is dating.



"Wonderful Life"

Monday and Tuesday, 7:50 p.m.; episodes 1 and 2.

"Wonderful Life" is about finding true love and the responsibility that comes with choices we make in life. Sae-jin and Seung-wan are two immature college students who meet while traveling in Singapore and have a one-night-stand — and Sae-jin gets pregnant. Although they are too young to marry and don't want to marry, they reluctantly wed.

They view each other as their worst enemy and both like someone else. But they eventually fall in love with each other. Being married, they realize the meaning of love and the responsibilities that come with it.

Monday — Sae-jin, whose goal in life is to travel the world before she turns 30, leaves on her dream trip. Meanwhile, Seung-wan flies out to Singapore to check on his girlfriend, whose calls to him have dwindled.

Tuesday — Sae-jin and Seung-wan are shocked when they wake up together in the same bed..



"Super Rookie"

Wednesday and Thursday, 7:50 p.m.; episodes 1 and 2

Kang-ho is a born slacker. At the age of 29, he spends most of his free time reading comic books.

Unmotivated, undisciplined, and lazy, he floats his way through life by freeloading off people.

But when job applications get mixed up at a prestigious company, Kang-ho gets the chance to prove his potential. And here he runs into beautiful co-worker Lee Mi-ok and her all-too-perfect boyfriend Lee Bong-sam. Will Kang-ho say goodbye to his slacker ways and become a super rookie?

Wednesday — At 29, Kang-ho (Eric from the pop music group Shinhwa) can't land a job and wastes his days reading comic books despite his family's pressure. Mi-ok (Han Ga-in) gets suicidal when her boyfriend Bong-sam (Oh Ji-ho) dumps her and she decides to jump from a bridge. Kang-ho sees Mi-ok about to jump and comes to her rescue.

Thursday — Kang-ho and his friend Sung-tae run into Mi-ok and her friend when they go to Bong-sam's company to apply for jobs. Heartbroken by his father's pair of worn-out shoes, Kang-ho decides to enter a kickboxing match for $200.



"Emperor of the Sea"

Friday and Saturday, 7:50 p.m.

Friday — Elite forces of Wu Ning Jun led by Jang Bogo, and Ping-lu-zi-quing troops led by Yum Moon go to battle. Jang Bogo rescues the captured Chinese general and comes out victorious. Saturday — Yum Moon rescues the captured Master Yi and Jung-hwa. Madam Jami tries to return to Shilla to request reinforcements for Yi Sa-do but is arrested by Jang Bogo.
