ANIMAL COMPANIONS
Calling all pets: Sit up, look smart for calendar shoot

Advertiser Staff

Got a pet with pin-up potential?

Send your pet's photo to the Hawaiian Humane Society by May 31 to be considered for the 2006 Pets in Paradise calendar.

You know they deserve it!

Hawaiian Humane Society photo

Submit photos of those fantastic furry and feathered faces to the Hawaiian Humane Society for its 2006 Pets in Paradise Calendar.

A judging panel will select the cover pet and top 12 picks to represent each month; all other photos will be included in a collage format.

Only original, horizontal color photo prints — only pets, no people — will be considered. Photos will not be returned. Polaroids, disks, submissions by e-mail or computer-generated photos printed on plain paper will not be considered.

On the back of each photo, include the following information on a removable note: owner's name, name of pet and daytime telephone number. Do not write directly on the photo's surface.

There's a $15 entry fee per photo; send entries to: Pets in Paradise Calendar, Hawaiian Humane Society, 2700 Wai'alae Ave., Honolulu, HI 96826.

Entries must be received by May 31. Pet of the Month winners will be notified by mail in July. The 2006 calendar will be available in August.

Money raised by entry fees and calendar sales support the Hawaiian Humane Society. Download the entry form at www.hawaiianhumane.org or call 946-2187, ext. 225.
