• Twenty-year company veteran, JIM KELLER, who began with Armstrong Builders Ltd. as an apprentice carpenter, has been named president of its construction division. Keller has overseen construction of the Kai Lani at Ko Olina development, is in the final construction of luxury condominium project, Ocean Villas at Turtle Bay, and will next break ground at luxury home development Kai Malu at Wailea, Maui. The locally owned residential and commercial construction firm also has development, design and real-estate (property management and sales) departments.

• Former state Department of Land and Natural Resources chairman, TIMOTHY E. JOHNS, has been added to the board of trustees of Parker Ranch Foundation Trust, effective June 1. For the past four years, he has been chief operating officer for the estate of Samuel Mills Damon. Johns has also served as vice president and general counsel for the Amfac Property Development Corp., and director of land protection with Nature Conservancy of Hawai'i.

• RENNY KAMARK, kitchen manager at Auntie Pasto's former Kapahulu location before its sale, has returned to the original Beretania Street location as chef and kitchen manager. Kamark, who joined Auntie Pasto's 15 years ago, has also worked at Zippy's and Waikiki Seafood and Pasta.

• ERICA NEVES has been named director of tourism for Ala Moana Center, charged with working with media and travel industry members to promote the nation's largest outdoor shopping mall as a premiere visitor attraction for shopping, dining and entertainment. This will include the Hawai'i Visitors and Convention Bureau, airlines, hotels, travel agencies and wholesalers, and encompass a focus on emerging tourism market opportunities from destinations such as China, Australia and New Zealand. The 15-year industry veteran was recently director of corporate communications for Castle Resorts and Hotels' 20 resort and condominium properties in Hawai'i, New Zealand and Micronesia.

• Honolulu Theatre for Youth has tapped accomplished director, playwright and actor ERIC JOHNSON as artistic director. Johnson was, most recently, visiting professor and performing arts coordinator at Franklin and Marshall College in Pennsylvania, as well as artistic associate of the Fulton Opera House. He is founding artistic director of the Blue Shift Theatre Ensemble, and recipient of the Princess Grace Award in 2003. He begins his new job today.

RICK FALL, for the past seven years, the Honolulu-based director of cargo sales for Continental Airlines has been named senior director of cargo sales for Hawaiian Airlines. In addition to overseeing all aspects of Hawaiian's cargo program, he will be particularly focused on developing new revenue opportunities for the airline's interisland, and Mainland, South Pacific and Australia routes. The 34-year veteran of the airline industry has also managed national travel agency sales for Continental in Houston, and for Delta Air Lines in Atlanta.

• CHRIS COLGATE, former senior general manager of T S Restaurants' Duke's Waikiki and Hula Grill Waikiki eateries, has been promoted to O'ahu regional manager. He will continue to oversee the marketing, public relations, financial management, capital improvements and service standards of the two properties. Among Colgate's responsibilities since joining the management team of Duke's in 1992, was his role as opening senior general manager of Hula Grill last year. Prior to joining the company, he was regional supervisor for a California brand restaurant chain, overseeing restaurant operations in Hawai'i.

T S Restaurants is the largest dinner-house chain in Hawai'i, owning and operating a dozen restaurants in Hawai'i and California, including Kimo's, Leilani's on the Beach, and Hula Grill on Maui, and Duke's Kaua'i and Keoki's Paradise, Kaua'i.
