• A "Taste of Hawai'i Aquaculture," an opportunity to sample locally grown aquaculture products prepared by some of the community's master chefs, will be one of the highlights of the upcoming sixth annual Hawai'i Aquaculture Conference, 8 a.m.-7 p.m. May 25 at Windward Community College. The daylong event will bring together people from the commercial, research and scientific segments of the aquaculture field. It will include discussion of issues in the production of ornamental fish, food production, and the future of the industry as a whole. The event is co-sponsored by the Hawai'i Aquaculture Association, Center for Tropical and Subtropical Aquaculture, the state Aquaculture Development Program, University of Hawai'i Sea Grant College Program and The Oceanic Institute. • Two female editors will discuss how they achieved success in the traditionally male-oriented media industry in a panel discussion Wednesday. The discussion, "Women In Media," sponsored the local chapter of The Public Relations Society of America, is scheduled 11:30 a.m. (registration) to 1:30 p.m. at the Sheraton Waikiki Hotel's Waianae Room. The program will feature Susan Sunderland, editor of Hawai'i Hospitality, and Kelli Abe Trifonovitch, editor at Hawaii Business magazine.
