A 29-year-old man was charged yesterday in connection with the beating death of a man in Wai'anae on Friday.

Patrick Nunnally, who has no permanent local address, is being held in lieu of $100,000 bail for manslaughter. He was scheduled to appear at District Court today.

Police said Nunnally was involved in a minor altercation with a 50-year-old man at about 11:15 p.m. Friday at 85-186 McArthur St. Nunnally left the area but returned at 12:35 a.m. and allegedly kicked the man in the head, police said. The victim was taken to The Queen's Medical Center, where he died.

Homicide investigators arrested Nunnally for questioning at 8:55 a.m. Saturday at 85-183 McArthur St. on an outstanding warrant. He was charged with manslaughter at 2:45 p.m. yesterday.
