Defeated Moanalua's Joelle and Julienne Yamamoto, 6-4, 6-4, to win the state doubles championship.

Defeated Kamehameha's Heidi Kaloi, 2-6, 6-2, 6-3, to win the girls state singles championship.

MIKEY LIM

Punahou

Defeated Word of Life's Daniel Llarenas, 7-6 (3), 6-2, to win the boys state singles championship.

WILL GROSSWENDT/ANDREW MAU

Punahou

Defeated Kamehameha's Bryce Silva and and Sean Thomas, 6-7 (5), 6-4, 6-3, to win the state doubles championship.



TRACK AND FIELD

SAMANTHA CABREROS

Punahou

Set a state championship meet record with a triple jump of 38 feet, 3.5 inches, breaking the mark of 37-8.75 set by Punahou's Sarah Yap in 1998, and was part of the Buffanblu's winning 4X400 relay team.

LAUREN HO

Hawai'i Baptist

Won the 800 in 2 minutes, 16.54 seconds, the 1,500 in 4:44.93 and the 3,000 in 10:35.67 at the state championship meet.

JOSEPH LOCEY

Kapa'a

Using a standing start, came within one-hundreths of a second to matching his own state meet record in the 200-meter dash with a mark of 21.91 seconds.

SARAH NICOLAISEN

Ka'u

Won the 110 hurdles in 16.09 seconds and the 300 hurdles in 45.98 at the state championship meet.

CAREENA ONOSAI

Word of Life

Won the shot put with a mark of 39 feet, 8 inches and the discus with a throw of 130-8 at the state championship meet.

BRASHTON SATELE

Word of Life

Won the state discus championship with a mark of 184 feet, 7 inches, missing the meet record by a mere 17 inches.

DANIEL TEO-NESHEIM

Hawai'i Prep

Won the state shot put championship with a mark of 58-feet-even, falling just short of the meet record of 59-8.75.

FRAN WEEMS

Won the 100 in 12.43 seconds, the 200 in 25.38 and the 400 in 57.04 at the state championship meet.

REBECCA FONOIMOANA

Kahuku

Scored four goals to help the Red Raiders defeat Hilo, 6-4, in the state semifinals.

KIM KOPRA

Hawai'i Prep

Scored five goals to help Ka Makani defeat Baldwin, 10-6, in the state tournament consolation bracket.

KEALAONAPUA O'SULLIVAN

Kamehameha

Scored three goals in a 6-4 loss to Punahou in the ILH championship game.

NATALE RIGG

Punahou

Was named state tournament Most Valuable Player after scoring five goals in the Buffanblu's 13-1 victory over Kahuku in the championship game.

SPENSER RIGG

Punahou

Had nine blocks and helped the Buffanblu shut out Kamehameha in the fourth quarter of a 6-4 victory for their ninth straight ILH championship, then allowed only three goals in three state tournament games to help Punahou repeat as champion.

Scored five goals to help the Falcons defeat Kapolei, 9-6, in the state tournament consolation bracket.
