Island Air plans to add 50 jobs

Interisland airline Island Air said it will add 50 positions to support the recent expansion of its service.
Island Air, which employs 380 workers, said the hirings will be in the company's customer service and maintenance departments. Since last year, the airline has added 20 daily flights and now operates 84 daily flights to Moloka'i, Lana'i, Kapalua, Kahului, Kona, Hilo and Lihu'e.
Island Air also announced it will begin a code-sharing agreement with Continental Airlines this fall, allowing Continental customers to make connections to the Neighbor Islands on Island Air flights.
