Tonight's Must-See

Tonight on KHNL News 8

A brush that claims it can clean the laundry, car wheels and your grill. Tune in tonight to KHNL News 8 at 5 and 10 as Lyle Galdeira tests the Ultimate Scrubber. Plus, Jodi Leong meets the new pope in "Heavenly Hawai'i."

"Two and a Half Men," 8 and 8:30 p.m., CBS. As "Everybody Loves Raymond" departed, this show inherited its slot. A brash bachelor (Charlie Sheen) took in his divorced brother (Jon Cryer). They share only a love of the brother's son Jake (Angus T. Jones) and a resentment of their mother (Holland Taylor). Lots of bad comedies have been assembled from such elements, but here's a good one. Now comes the season finale at 8 p.m. and a funny rerun at 8:30.

Of Note

"Secret Missions of the Civil War," 5, 9 p.m., History Channel. A week of Civil War tales starts with this look at espionage schemes. First is a Union spy's plan to steal a Confederate train. The story previously has been told in Buster Keaton's 1927 "The General" and Disney's 1956 "The Great Locomotive Chase."

"24," 7 p.m., Fox. The season finale brings a crisis. A nuclear missile could strike at any moment. Michelle (the talented Reiko Aylesworth) scrambles for a solution. She's the third head of the counter-terrorist unit during this 24 hours.

"Still Standing," 7 and 7:30 p.m., CBS. New episodes end the season. In the first, Judy's sister is getting married — unless Judy can stop her. In the second, the parents worry as their son goes overseas.

"Las Vegas," 8 p.m., NBC. A new owner takes over the casino, bringing questions for all the regulars. Dean Cain, Jon Bon Jovi, Gladys Knight and John Elway have guest roles.

"American Experience: Guerrilla: The Taking of Patty Hearst," 9 p.m., PBS. This superb hour retells the story of the 1974 kidnapping of heiress Patricia Hearst from the perspective of the people who kidnapped her. Some of their comments seem deductive, some seem delusional, but all combine for a fascinating picture.
