SHOW BIZ
Moffatt eager to book Stones

By Wayne Harada

SHOW BITS: In case you're wondering, there are moves afoot to get both a Rolling Stones concert and another by Loggins & Messina to Hawai'i. But don't hold your breath. Mick Jagger and his rock cronies, who launch a tour Aug. 21 in Boston, have not included Hawai'i among the stops. When she sold her book via the Maui Writers Conference, she realized the value of the conference where agents and publishers discovered her manuscript via the Manuscript Marketplace, "a revolutionary way to cut through the slushpile on editors' desks," she said. She's also is dickering with writers of the "Tonight" show for a segment they'd tape on location this year from the Wailea Marriott Sept. 1 through 5. ...

Singer Jimmy Borges, who turns 70 on June 1, is off to the Mainland to celebrate over the next two weeks. He was to link up with daughter Stephanie in Los Angeles, visit his mom in San Francisco, and wind up in Palm Springs for golf, golf and more golf. Gorgeous Borges simply doesn't look his age. ...
