Tonight's Must-See

Tonight on KHNL News 8

You see them while driving, moving memorials plastered on car and truck rear windows. But this trend has Honolulu police concerned. We'll tell you why in tonight's special report.

"American Idol," 7 p.m., and "House," 8 p.m., both on Fox. First, we get the showdown between the two "Idol" finalists. There is a full-service rock god (Bo Bice) and a cherubic farm girl in transition (Carrie Underwood); on Wednesday, one will become the fourth-season "Idol." Afterward, stick around for the season finale of "House," quickly becoming a great show. Last week, we learned more about the past tragedies clouding Dr. Gregory House (Hugh Laurie). He was comatose when his lover (Sela Ward) overruled his medical wishes. He emerged with bitterness, a bum leg and constant pain. Now we're back to the present. He is diagnosing her husband.

"Trump Unauthorized," 8 p.m., ABC. This film manages to portray Donald Trump as the sort of person viewers like. He is shown as a liar and a schemer, but a guy who pushes big dreams. Alas, the film drags during early parts, then wraps up the story with dizzying speed.

Of Note

"Britney and Kevin: Chaotic," 5 p.m., UPN (KIKU). Here is the second chapter in the married life of Britney Spears and Kevin Federline. Should we be disturbed that TV assumes we're on first-name basis with Rob and Amber and Britney and Kevin?

"The Bad Girl's Guide," 5:30 p.m., UPN (KIKU). Jenny McCarthy stars in this moderately promising comedy series, offering a modern take on single women's lives. She plays an advertising executive.

"The Contender," 7 p.m., NBC. The boxing reality show concludes as the two finalists battle for megabucks.

"Lost," 7 p.m., ABC. On the eve of the season finale, we get a rerun in which the crash survivors are warned that there are other people on the island.

"NCIS," 7 p.m., CBS. In this season finale, investigators learn that someone is out to kill them.
