Argument leads to fight, arrest

A 48-year-old Wahiawa woman was arrested yesterday for allegedly beating a 37-year-old acquaintance with a mug on Monday.The younger woman told police she was arguing with the older woman about 1 p.m. when the other woman picked up a glass mug and hit her several times in the head and torso.
She said the assailant threatened to kill her while holding scissors and an ice pick in her hand.
The victim suffered bruises to her body and a cut on the head during the attack, police said.
The 48-year-old was arrested on suspicion of second-degree assault.
