Henry Blackaby, co-author of "Experiencing God," will be in Honolulu for a series of free appearances, including the Waterhouse Lecture Series:

• July 20 (9 a.m.), "God's Pattern for Spiritual Leadership," Waialae Baptist Church

• July 21 (7 p.m.), "Experiencing God" 15th anniversary celebration, Hawai'i Theatre.

• July 22 (7 p.m.), "Biblical Pattern for Revival and Spiritual Awakening," New Hope, Leeward.

Free talk will focus on children

Ko'olaupoko Baha'i Community and the Windward Baha'i School are sponsoring a free talk by Jamie Rose Marghi and Mollie Sperry on "The Virtues Project: Bringing Out the Best in Our Children and Ourselves" at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Lanikai Elementary School Learning Center. Marghi is a marriage and family therapist and Sperry served many years as the principal of the elementary school at Le Jardin Academy and is head of the Academy of the Pacific in Honolulu.
