Man, 22, attacks officer

A 22-year-old man was arrested last night near South King and Victoria streets after he allegedly attacked a police officer who was trying to help him.

Police were sent to the area about 11:35 p.m. in response to a call about a man walking down the middle of South King Street.

When officers arrived, they found the man walking in the street, crying and talking on a cell phone. When they attempted to guide the man out of the street, he attacked one of the officers and was subsequently arrested for first-degree assault against a police officer.

Police said the officer who was attacked received facial injuries and a sprained knee.



Man, 57, arrested for alleged sexual assault

A 57-year-old Kapolei man was arrested yesterday in response to a complaint from a 36-year-old woman who told police a "neighbor friend" sexually assaulted her Sept. 3.

Police said that as a result of an ongoing investigation, the suspect was interviewed at the Kapolei police station and subsequently arrested for suspicion of first- and third-degree sexual assault.



Husband arrested for alleged sexual assault

A 44-year-old man was arrested in Waikiki yesterday in response to a complaint filed by his wife, 27, who told police she was sexually assaulted about 7:45 p.m. Aug. 1. Police arrested the husband for suspicion of second-degree sexual assault.



Suspect arrested for alleged sexual assault

Police arrested a 26-year-old Punchbowl-area man yesterday as a suspect in a sexual assault reported by a Manoa woman.

The woman, 19, told police she was assaulted by an acquaintance about 9:30 a.m. Sunday.
