Police and the CrimeStoppers are asking for the public's help in finding three men responsible for at least one — and as many as three — convenience store robberies in the Kalihi area within the past month.

The most recent robbery occurred about 3 p.m. Oct. 23 at the Tesoro gas station at 1529 Dillingham Blvd.

Police said the three men walked into the store holding white trash bags, went directly to the cashier area and began loading cartons of cigarettes into the bags.

A store worker tried to grab one of the bags but was scared off by one of the men. The cashier yelled to the other worker to lock the front door, but the three men pushed the workers out of the way and left.

Witnesses outside the store tried to stop the men and were assaulted, police said.

They believe the three may have been involved in the Oct. 5 robbery of a 7-Eleven store at 1950 Kalihi St. and the Oct. 7 robbery of a Fast Stop store at 2011 N. King St.

Anyone with information about any of the three men is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 955-8300, or *CRIME on your cellular phone.
