UH soccer team ousted in WAC tournament

Advertiser Staff

Fresno State ended the University of Hawaii women's soccer season today with a 2-1 victory in the semifinals of the Western Athletic Conference Tournament in Boise, Idaho.

UH, boasting WAC Offensive Player of the Year Natasha Kai and Coach of the Year Pinsoom Tenzing, is 9-9-2, and unlikely to receive an NCAA at-large berth. UH was the WAC tournament's top seed.

Kai scored UH's only goal at 57 minutes, 44 seconds in the second half against Fresno State.

Fresno State also defeated UH (1-0) in the Rainbow Wahine's final home regular-season game on Sunday.
