Advertiser Staff

Tripler Army Medical Center has scheduled special flu shot days for enrolled patients at its Pediatric and Immunization clinics.

  • The Tripler Pediatric Clinic plans two special flu shot days: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 25.

  • The Tripler Immunization Clinic is sponsoring two days of flu vaccinations for high risk patients — people 65 and older, adults and children with chronic heart or lung conditions, people with weakened immune systems and other health conditions — from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 16 and 18.

  • Other Tripler clinics will give flu vaccinations during regular hours. For a complete listing visit www.tamc .amed.army.mil and click on Tripler's Flu Hotline. Or call 433-3357.

Tripler is providing vaccines to all eligible beneficiaries.

People may also call 2-1-1 to find information on civilian flu vaccine sites in Hawai'i.

One of the state's largest distributors of flu shots, HMSA, has run out of vaccine. HMSA, which has given out more than 34,000 flu shots, canceled its final five community clinics.
