Former police officer sentenced to 14 years

Advertiser Staff

Former Honolulu police officer Harold Cabbab was sentenced today to 14 years in a federal prison on a charge of stealing what he thought was more than 20 pounds of crystal methamphetamine and nearly 9 pounds of cocaine from a storage locker in a sting operation in 2004.

U.S. District Judge Susan Oki Mollway issued the ruling. Oki had postponed the sentencing twice.
