The 22nd Annual Paradise Cup Bodybuilding Championships has added a new wrinkle to its routine this year.

About 62 competitors will compete in the event today at the Sheraton Waikiki Hawai'i Ballroom.

In addition to the regular events, organizers have added a women's figure event, featuring 16 competitors.

The other events include the men's open, men's novice, masters (40 and older), and women's bodybuilding divisions.

Gustavo Badell, Roc Shabazz, and Tanji Johnson will be on hand as guest posers. Badell took third overall in the Mr. Olympia competition this year.

"We try to make it an exciting event, where people can dress up a little bit and see (competitors) they haven't seen all year," said co-promoter Guy Leong.

There will be health and fitness booths around the Sheraton ballroom.

Tickets are available at the Sheraton Waikiki Hawai'i Ballroom door, and cost from $15 to $35. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.
