'Bows' Mason will miss SJSU match

Advertiser Staff

Sarah Mason, who leads ninth-ranked Hawai'i in kills per game, will not play in tomorrow's WAC volleyball match at San Jose State. Mason ranks third in the WAC at just over four kills.

She re-sprained her right ankle in the first game of Wednesday's five-game victory at Utah State. Mason suffered the initial sprain the first night of the season and missed the next five matches.

UH coach Dave Shoji decided to send Mason home today to allow her to receive immediate treatment on the ankle.

Her status for next week's final home matches, Thursday against New Mexico State and next Friday against Louisiana Tech, will be determined later.

The WAC Tournament starts Nov. 24.
