Waianae, Kealakehe earn state football berths

Curtis Jones rushed for 88 yards and a touchdown to lead Waianae to a 17-7 victory over Farrington Saturday night to earn a berth in the state football tournament.The game for third place — and a berth — in the Oahu Interscholastic Association was played at Roosevelt.
Waianae will play at Kealakehe Friday in the first round of the Hawaii High School Athletic Association state Division I tournament. Kealakehe defeated Keaau, 35-6, to earn the Big Island's berth.
