H-1 stretch near Likelike exit closed tonight

Advertiser Staff

A 700-foot stretch of the H-1 Freeway will be closed tonight and tomorrow night for repaving, the state Transportation Department said.

All east-bound lanes between the Middle Street overpass and the Likelike Highway off-ramp will be shut between 9 p.m. and 4:30 a.m., officials said.

The work is being done to fix problems along a stretch of roadway that was repaved about a year ago.

Engineers hope to have the work done by Thursday morning. During the repaving, the DOT advises motorists to use the H-1 Freeway eastbound Airport Viaduct or exit Moanalua Freeway at the Pu'uloa Road off-ramp.
