ISLAND LIFE SHORTS
And now, the thigh phone

Advertiser Staff

Perhaps it was made with James Bond in mind — a thigh-high, patent-leather, cell-phone holster, designed by Pablos Holman. It can be adjusted to fit any phone and has a pocket for an ID, credit card or cash.

Available at www.tsaya.com, $79. Nice legs not included.

TARO-PIE HOMECOMING

In the land where taro has been the staff of life for centuries, it's no surprise that when McDonald's Restaurants of Hawai'i offered taro pies earlier this year, the pastries sold out statewide. Now the sweet treats are back, available for about a dollar each at all Hawai'i restaurants.

"This time, we've brought back a greater supply that will hopefully last throughout the promotional period," said marketing manager Melanie Okazaki.

FINAL WORD

"(My wife) changed the toilet paper on me — it has to do with virgin trees or something. I look forward to going out of town now."
