Fire destroys Crestview home

Advertiser Staff

A man and two women were homeless yesterday after a fire destroyed most of a house in Crestview.

None of the occupants was home at the time of the blaze.

The fire at 94-836 Lumikuke Loop started at shortly after 7 p.m., said HFD Capt. Kenison Tejada. Firefighters arrived within minutes after the alarm was sounded and found the left side of the house engulfed.

Two dozen firefighters brought the blaze under control within 20 minutes, Tejada said.

No damage estimate was available last night.

Firefighters are investigating the cause of the fire and the Red Cross is assisting the three displaced people.
