Rainbow Wahine stop New Mexico State

LAS CRUCES, N.M. — The University of Hawaii women's volleyball team kept its Western Athletic Conference winning streak alive, defeating New Mexico State 28-30, 26-30, 30-21, 30-22, 15-10.

An NMSU record crowd of 7,115 at the Pan American Center watched the Rainbow Wahine extended their Western Athletic Conference winning streak to 94 matches.

Hawaii is 9-6 overall and 3-0 in the WAC. New Mexico State is 7-3 and 1-2.

Sarah Mason led Hawaii, ranked 11th in the CSTV/AVCA women's volleyball poll, with 19 kills, four blocks and a .378 hitting percentage.

Victoria Prince had 13 kills for the Rainbow Wahine, while Juliana Sanders and Susie Boogaard had 12 each and Tara Hittle added 11.

Alice Borden had 16 kills to lead the Aggies.
