 •  Annual pow wow celebrates heritage

Advertiser Staff

Today is Registration Day, sponsored by the Adoption Circle of Hawai'i, the perfect day to start looking for those lost relatives.

Registrants must be adoptees 18 or older, birth parents, adoptive parents of adoptees who are still under 18, and others separated through divorce. Information is entered into the International Soundex Reunion Registry computer; if there's a match, both parties will be notified immediately.

Three registration sites — Borders Books and Music at Ward Centre and Waikele and Borders Express at Windward Mall — will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Adoption Circle of Hawai'i is a nonprofit volunteer group that provides support for adoptees, birth parents and adoptive parents and educates the community about the adoption experience.
