Child killed in driveway accident

KAILUA, Kona, Hawai'i — A Kona man reversed his car over this 1-year-old son yesterday, killing the child.Big Island police said it happened at 5:45 p.m on a private driveway off Paiaha Street. The child was identified as Teiji Kuni.
Police said David Kuni III, 28, of Kailua, was reversing a silver 1998 Honda sedan when the child was struck. The boy was taken to Kona Community Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 6:58 p.m.
