Paintball event here

The Old School Challenge Series, a Mainland paintball circuit, will hold a tournament on Oct. 15 and 16 at the Hawai'i All-Star Paintball Games on Nimitz Highway.

The challenge specializes in pump gun play. Teams from the Mainland and Hawai'i are expected to participate.

Representatives from various paintball gear and gun manufactures will be in attendance.

Game play begins at 9 a.m. Oct. 15. Teams will be playing on Hawai'i All-Star's new inflatable bunker fields.

BIKE RIDE TOMORROW

The Kalihi Valley Instructional Bike Exchange will hold a community bike ride tomorrow from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The ride goes from a warehouse at 1638 Kamehameha IV Road to Ke'ehi Lagoon and back. A picnic will be held at Ke'ehi Lagoon.

Participants need to bring their own bike and helmet. A free lunch will be provided for the first 15 participants.

A WORTHY CHALLENGE

The Sportsman's Challenge, presented by the Aloha Council Boys Scouts of America, will be held Oct. 14 and 15 at Camp Pupukea.

The challenge is a "shooting sports" event designed to raise money for at-risk youth.

All proceeds will benefit Scoutreach's At-Risk-Youth of Oahu.

BOX CAR TRACK OPENING

The American Box Car Racing International will hold a grand opening at 9 a.m. for its new Kunia facility on Oct. 15.

The facility is located near Times and Wal-Mart and the track.
