21-year-old charged in two robberies

Advertiser Staff

A 21-year-old Nu'uanu man was charged yesterday in two September robberies.

Nicholas C. Lee was charged with robbery and other counts. He was being held last night in lieu of $100,000 bail.

Lee is accused of committing the Sept. 20 robbery of the Hawaiian Holy Smokes store in Mo'ili'ili and the Sept. 27 robbery of the Pizza Hut restaurant in Liliha. In both robberies a firearm was used, police said.

Lee initially was arrested Thursday morning on auto theft complaints, but police said he was later identified as a suspect in the robberies.
