Police beat: Burglary suspect arrested

Advertiser Staff

A 24-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an incident Sunday in Kailua in which a woman told police she awoke about 9 p.m. to find the man in her bedroom and her clothing removed.

Police said the woman told her roommate what was happening, who then called police.

The intruder left the home before police arrive but was identified during a "field show-up" and arrested for suspicion of first-degree burglary.

The woman was taken to the Sex Abuse Treatment Center as a precautionary measure.

Suspect arrested for unlawful entry

A 63-year-old Waimanalo man was arrested last night after he allegedly was seen attempting to remove items from inside a car belonging to a 19-year-old man.

Police were called to the scene and arrested the suspect about 8 p.m. for suspicion of unlawful entry into a motor vehicle.
