UH Rainbows projected second in WAC

The University of Hawai'i men's basketball team was picked to finish tied for second in the Western Athletic Conference this season in a poll of conference coaches and fourth by the media, it was announced today by the conference office.

Meanwhile, the Rainbow Wahine were picked to finish fifth in women's standings in both the coaches' and media polls.

The Nevada men and Louisiana Tech women were predicted to win their respective titles by both the coaches and media.

UH's Julian Sensley was a first-team All-WAC pre-season selection of the coaches and Matt Gibson was a second team pick.

Rainbow Wahine Amy Sanders was a second team pick of the coaches.
