ISLAND LIFE SHORTS
Heads up

Advertiser Staff and News Services

Oh, the joys of "Crosseyed and Painless" in surround-sound! Talking Heads, those pioneering blenders of rock, funk, punk and world beat, have placed all eight of their studio albums in a trippy-looking and pricey ($149.98) DualDisc box set. CDs and DVDs feature remastered originals and rare bonus tracks, video and photo galleries.

LOVE AND MARRIAGE

NEW DADS' DILEMMAS

In a survey of nearly 15,000 new parents, Babytalk magazine asked how having a newborn affected relationships with their spouses. Some findings:

  • More than two-thirds of the men said their wives don't pay as much attention to them as they did before the baby.

  • Since having a child, most women feel more connected to their babies than to their husbands, while most men feel more connected to their wives than to their kids.

  • Half of the men polled feel sexually neglected by their wives, and 19 percent feel emotionally neglected.

  • Three-quarters of women report that they're too tired for sex now that they have a baby. Only 28 percent of dads feel the same.

    FINAL WORD

"I know some people see me as a blond ditz. I don't care, though. I know who I am, and I'm really comfortable with that."
