Hawai'i's unemployment rate lowest in nation

Hawai'i's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate rose 0.1 percentage points in September to 2.7 percent but the Islands still had the lowest unemployment rate in the country for the seventh month in a row, the state Department of Labor and Industrial Relations reported today.

Since March, Hawai'i's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate has remained below 3 percent.

The U.S. unemployment rate for September rose to 5.1 percent, up from 4.9 percent in August.
