Great orange things spotted at Aloun Farms in Kapolei

Yep, that's them, all right. These 100-day-old pumpkins will make wonderful jack-o'-lanterns for Halloween but they're also a healthy food that can be made into tasty soup and interesting dishes. Have fun carving them.

Aloun Farms' pumpkin patch is where you can pick your own great orange thing for Halloween. There'll be hay rides, a petting zoo and food booths, too.

Hours are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today and tomorrow and next weekend, too. Admission is free; there's a $3 charge per car for parking.
