Michael W. Perry and Larry Price of KSSK remain on top of the ratings for the morning drive time radio shows, but a battle royal is flourishing several rungs down the ratings ladder.

Just-released Arbitron summer ratings show a two-way tie for fourth place between Augie & Lanai of KDNN and Rory Wild & Greg Hammer of KIKI, and another tie for sixth between Billy V, Lina Girl and Pipi of KCCN and Tiny Tadani and Mandy of KUMU. Frank B. Shaner has now joined Mandy on KUMU, replacing Tiny and inheriting the listenership. Tadani has moved over to KHUI-FM 99.5, replacing The Honolulu Skylark, but the station is not on the Top 10 list.

Falling off the Top 10 during the morning commute: Paul Ogata and Kid Leo of KDDB-FM 102.7. KPHW-FM "Power 104.3" made the list with its urban playlist (Mariah Carey, 50 Cent), minus a morning personality.

Overall, KSSK-FM remains the dominant station, with the only double-digit rating, followed by KRTR-FM and KINE-FM.
