WHEE, THE PEOPLE: Hilo Hattie, the retailer of local garb, products and foodstuff, has been considering promotional ties with two teen titans — Jasmine Trias, the "American Idol" finalist and recording artist, and golf wizard Michelle Wie — for possible holiday tie-ins. Far from a done deal, however. ...

Trias is the "idol" in the Aloha Medical Mission's "Four Doctors, a Patient and an Idol" benefit concert, at 7 p.m. Sept. 24 at the Blaisdell Concert Hall. The docs are Jorge Camara, Timothy Lee, Reuben Guerrero and Bradley Wong — all terrific pianists; the "patient" is Chris Cerna, a gifted blind pianist, who has benefited from AMM help. Kim Gennaula, KGMB-9 news anchor, will emcee, and yes, Trias will perform. Tickets are $40, $60, $75, $100 and $250 at the box office (591-2211) or via Ticketmaster at (877) 750-4400. ...

The wedding party included Howard Stern, the controversial talk-show host, and attendees included Cindy Crawford, Brooke Lee, Keoki Van Orden, Al Waterson and Nancy Bernal. The bride wore a Vera Wang gown and serenaded the groom, with Alethea Train on piano. Makeup artist Pattie Kuamoo and stylist Dennis Guillermo, both of Salon 808, flew over to tend to the bride. The celebration was at Manhattan's Cipriani. ...

Waterson and Bernal, who also visited San Francisco, Chicago and Washington, D.C., caught "The Lion King" in New York and Neil Diamond at Madison Square Garden, but local boy Mahi'ai Kekumu was out with a minor injury the night they took in "Wicked" in Chicago. Waterson, of course, is the host of karaoke singfests from 6 to 9 p.m. Sundays at Don Ho's Island Grill, where keiki, teen, adult and senior warblers are invited. Call 947-5736. ...

The private Ali'i Room at Ruth's Chris Steak House was the site of a goodbye party for dancer Mark Tucker, who was in Ballet Hawaii's recent "Coppelia." Tucker spent much of his nondancing time surfing; he's returning to Winston-Salem, where he's a senior at the North Carolina School of the Arts. Among those at his farewell: parents Alan and Mindy Tucker, tutu Gaye Glaser and brother Chris, who will be playing freshman football at Punahou this year. ...

OOPS: At the monthly Rotary Club meeting at The Royal Hawaiian hotel's ballroom, Rotarian attorney Beadie Dawson introduced the day's speaker as "my favorite senator," and misnamed him Sen. Keeping up with the Joneses: At Manoa Valley Theatre's "Footloose," bowing Wednesday, the families that play together stay together. Lorena Jones and daughter Kelly, for example, are the new backstage costume team, assembling garb for 30 cast members. And another daughter, Katherine "Kat" Jones, is one of the performers, in the role of Wendy Jo. Kat's husband, Peter Togawa, also is in the show, playing Coach Dunbar, so the family ties are deep. However, none is related to Sean Jones, who portrays the character Bickel, the best friend of the leading character, Ren, played by Arthur D. Johansen. ...
