Campbell rushes past Waialua, 35-14

Five players rushed for touchdowns as visiting Campbell beat Waialua, 35-14, in an O'ahu Interscholastic Association White Conference game last night.

Richards Quinton, Bronson Lloces, Berzil Kelii scored in the first half, and Jesse Lee and Ranson Ho put the game away with touchdowns in the third quarter.

Campbell's Bronson Ellis-Rivera rushed nine times for 96 yards.

PUNAHOU 47, KAILUA 14

Brett Kan completed 15 of 30 passes for 217 yards and four touchdowns to lead visiting Punahou to a nonleague victory over Kailua.

The Buffanblu, ranked No. 3 in The Advertiser's statewide Top 10 poll of coaches and media, improved to 2-0 while the Surfriders fell to 0-3.

Punahou recovered a fumble on the opening kickoff at the Kailua 1-yard line and scored one play later, but Kailua tied it 7-7 after a 14-yard pass from Nathan Alvarado to Shaun Forges.

The Buffanblu went up 23-7 by halftime after two TD catches by Miah Ostrowski and a safety when the Surfriders snapped the ball out of the end zone. Punahou opened the lead to 30-7 in the third quarter and 40-7 midway through the fourth.

Ostrowski finished with seven catches for 148 yards.
