Kane'ohe Marine dies in Afghanistan

The Department of Defense identified him as Lance Cpl. Ryan J. Nass, 21, of Franklin, Wis. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force.
The statement said Nass died Saturday from "a non-hostile gunshot wound" at Camp Blessing, Afghanistan. No other details were provided in the news release.
The death is being investigated, the DOD said.
