Police said the younger man accused the older one of having an affair with his wife and hit him in the face about 9:45 p.m., resulting in a deep cut to the victims face.
Police arrested the suspect for suspicion of second-degree assault.
Woman arrested in stabbing case
Police arrested a 45-year-old woman yesterday as a suspect in the stabbing on Sunday of a 58-year-old man at a Kaka'ako park.
Police said the victim told them a woman friend stabbed him in the chest about 12:45 p.m. Sunday and he reported the incident that day.
The victim saw the stabber yesterday and went to the downtown police substation to report the sighting. Officers were sent to where the woman was spotted, located her and arrested her for suspicion of second-degree assault.
Coffee-table thief nabbed
A 24-year-old man who allegedly tried to make off with a coffee table taken from a Makiki home Monday night was arrested yesterday for suspicion of second-degree theft.
Police said the daughter of the 57-year-old woman who owns the home near the corner of Lewalani and Mott Smith drives saw the man taking the table from the family's property. The daughter confronted the man and notified police.
The table was recovered and the suspect was arrested for suspicion of second-degree theft.
Woman his sister with glass louver
Police arrested a 25-year-old Kalihi woman yesterday afternoon after her 22-year-old sister accused her of hitting her in the head with a broken glass louver.
The younger sister told police the two were arguing about 2:40 p.m. when her sister picked up the louver and struck her with it.
Police were called to the sisters' Kalihi Street apartment and arrested the older one for suspicion of second-degree assault.
Suspect who used knife in fight arrested
Police arrested a 25-year-old man yesterday in connection with a July 26 incident in which a 23-year-old man reported being cut on the left ear and right hand during a scuffle along Lunalilo Street.
Police said the victim told them he got into a fight with the suspect who pulled out a knife and cut him during the 4:25 a.m. incident. The suspect ran from the area before police arrive, but they located a witness yesterday who provided an address where the suspect could be found.
The suspect was found, positively identified by a witness and arrested for suspicion of second-degree assault.
Man caught stealing from trailer
A 26-year-old man was arrested yesterday Monday in connection with a break-in of an office trailer at a construction site at the corner of Kapi'olani Boulevard and Sheridan Street.
Police said a witness reported seeing the man break the trailer windows about 4 a.m. and begin taking items from inside the trailer.
Police arrived and arrested the man for suspicion of second-degree burglary.
