"Shelter From the Storm: A Concert for the Gulf Coast," 7 p.m., ABC, CBS, Fox and NBC.

All four commercial networks combine in this ambitious fund-raiser. Joel Gallen, who produced a similar special after the Sept. 11 attacks, brings together Sheryl Crow, the Dixie Chicks, Alicia Keys, Randy Newman, Paul Simon, Rod Stewart and Neil Young as musical contributors.

Other celebrities slated to make an appearance include Jennifer Aniston, Cameron Diaz, Ellen DeGeneres, Jack Nicholson, Chris Rock, Ray Romano and Sela Ward.

"Fashion Rocks," 8 p.m., CBS. New York City's "Fashion Week," a big deal in the clothing industry, is celebrated with this special, mixing music and fashion. Destiny's Child gives what it calls its last televised concert.

Other performers include Alicia Keys, David Bowie, Tim McGraw, Nelly, Joss Stone, Gwen Stefani, Billy Idol and Rob Thomas.

OF NOTE

"Battlestar Galactica," 7 and 10 p.m., Sci-Fi. Lucy Lawless, of "Xena" fame, guest stars as a reporter, probing a controversy in the struggling government.

"Movies That Shook the World" debut, 7 p.m., AMC. For feminists behind "Fatal Attraction," 1987 was a wild roller-coaster ride. Their movie was a huge hit, grossing $156 million and reminding guys that cheaters might face consequences. Producer Sherry Lansing and stars Glenn Close and Anne Archer were delighted — until dissenters said the movie was anti-feminist, because a career woman was depicted as crazed. This interesting documentary launches a nine-week series.

"Less Than Perfect," 8:30 p.m., ABC. As part of her management training, Claude (Sara Rue) must supervise the department run by the eccentric Owen (Andy Dick).

"Dateline," 8 p.m., NBC. In a late change, the network is delaying its Tom Brokaw special on evangelicals. Instead, it has this two-hour look at Hurricane Katrina.
