Ready for your good deed today? Join the Get the Drift & Bag It! volunteer effort to get rid of the trash and debris that mar our beaches. It’s part of the International Coastal Cleanup campaign, which is in its 20th year.

Cleanups begin at 8:30 a.m. at Makapuçu Point (meet in the parking lot); Sand Island State Park (parking lot); Oneçula Beach Park in 'Ewa Beach; Käneçohe Bay (Heçeia State Park) and other sites around the island.

Bring water and sunscreen, and wear covered shoes. At check-in, you will receive gloves, bags and a data card that will help quantify the trash and debris collection.

The A&B Foundation and the Hawai'i Sea Grant College Program are the major local sponsors. 956-2872
