Tasting to help Katrina fund

Good food and good will are on the menu tomorrow at Aloha Tower Marketplace where two dozen of the state's top chefs come together to raise money for the Salvation Army's Hurricane Katrina relief fund.

The event, from 6 to 9 p.m., will include food and wine tastings, entertainment by Na Palapalai, Na Leo Pilimehana and C&K, and a live auction.

Participants include: 3660 on the Rise, Alan Wong's, Bali by the Sea, The Bistro at Century Center, Chai's Island Bistro, Chef Mavro, Diamond Head Grill, Duke's, Gordon Biersch, Hong Kong Harborview, Hoku's, JJ French Pastry, John Dominic, Le Bistro, Mariposa, Michels, Nori's Hilo, Nalo Farms, Hiroshi's, Olino Events, Padovani's, Roy's at Ko Olina, Sam Choy's Restaurants, Sansei, Side Street Inn, The Pacific Club, The Poke Stop, Better Brands, Chambers and Chambers, Paradise Beverages, Hawaiian Isle Water/Coffee, Southern Wine & Spirits and Tapioca Express.

Tickets are $150, with limited corporate tables available at $5,000 and $10,000. They may be purchased at Chai's Island Bistro, Aloha Tower Marketplace, 585-0011.

THIRD SHOW ADDED TO EAGLES ROSTER

Eagles fans looking for tickets to concerts on Nov. 29 and 30 may be out of luck, but promoters have added a third concert on Friday, Dec. 2.

The third show is 8 p.m. at the Blaisdell Arena. The concerts on Nov. 29 and 30 begin at 7:30, also at the Blaisdell

Tickets are available at the Blaisdell Box Office and Ticketmaster outlets (877 750-4400 or at www.ticketmaster.com.)

Tickets range from $65 to $250, plus service fees.

The Eagles hits include "Hotel California," "Desperado," "Take it to the Limit," "Life in the Fast Lane," and "Take It Easy," as well as their newer numbers, "One Day at a Time" and "No More Cloudy Days."
